承诺 provide great flexibility to give larger gifts over long(er) periods of times. 承诺 can be made with payment installments over years 和/or months.

Tribute Gifts are a unique way for a donor to honor a current or former faculty member, 导师, 朋友, 或所爱的人. Donors may wish to honor someone dear to them; alumni may choose to celebrate the dedication of a current of former faculty member. Gifts may be allocated for a specific department or fund (gift amounts are kept confidential).

Donations of appreciated stock are accepted by newbb电子 和 provide an easy way to make a gift. In addition, you may be able to avoid capital gains 和 receive a 税 benefit.

newbb电子 gratefully considers donations of Steinway & 儿子的大钢琴和小钢琴型号S, M, L, O, B, 和D处于良好状态, 或者类似的模型, 比如雅马哈U-1, from other manufacturers of instruments of the highest quality. Steinway uprights in near-new condition may also be eligible for donation. Steinways considered to be in excellent condition include new genuine Steinway parts, 新琴弦(1 -10年), 新锤子(1- 10年).

If you are interested in donating a piano to MSM, we ask that you take photos of the instrument, 包括型号和序列号, 还有琴弦和琴槌, 寄给朱莉·沃林, 年度捐赠总监, at jwallin@herosee.net. Donations of instruments other than pianos are considered on a case-by-case basis. 只要切实可行, arrangements should be made to bring the instrument to the School so that it can be assessed by faculty members.

国税局规定
When the value of the donated instrument exceeds $5,000, IRS regulations require the donor to obtain a qualified appraisal in order for a charitable deduction to be claimed. 另外, the donor will need to complete IRS Form 8283 (Noncash Charitable Contribution) 和 provide it to MSM for completion of the “Donee Acknowledgment” section. We strongly encourage you to consult with your 税 advisor when considering donating an instrument for a charitable deduction.

Once MSM has received your donated instrument, the  慈善办公室 will send an acknowledgement letter recognizing its receipt 和 thanking you for your gift.
